Demo reports
A demo report is a sample inspection report you can share with prospective customers to show them the quality and format of your inspection deliverables. It gives buyers, agents, and referral partners a realistic preview of what they will receive when they hire you.
What a demo report is
A demo report is a single, complete, anonymized inspection report — a real report with the customer's name and identifying property details removed. It is presented in the same report viewer your actual customers use, so the preview is accurate.
Demo reports are:
Full reports only — not specialty forms (4-Point, Wind Mit, etc.). The standard home inspection report best showcases your work.
Anonymized — no real customer name, agent name, or identifiable property address.
Self-contained — all photos included, so the viewer experience is complete.
Hidden from your operations — demo reports do not appear in your regular bookings list or reports list.
Creating a demo report
Go to Settings → Demo Report (or find the option under your organization's profile settings).
If you have not set one up yet, you will be prompted to select an existing published report to use as the basis for your demo.
Inspector Studio creates an anonymized copy of that report as your demo.
Review the demo to confirm that no identifying customer information remains.
You have one demo report at a time. You can change which report it is based on at any time by selecting a different source report.
Sharing the demo report
Your demo report has its own permanent link, separate from any customer-facing report link. Copy the link from Settings → Demo Report and share it:
In your email signature ("See a sample report →")
On your public landing page
In follow-up emails to prospective customers
When agents ask what your reports look like
Keeping it current
Update your demo report periodically to reflect your current template and report quality. If you have improved your template significantly since the last time you set the demo, create a new published report from a completed (anonymized) inspection and update your demo to point to it.
What prospective customers see
When someone opens the demo link, they see the full report viewer — the same experience your paying customers get. This is intentional: you want prospects to see exactly what they are getting.
