Notification preferences
Inspector Studio can notify you and your team about activity in the platform — new bookings, messages, booking changes, and more. Notification preferences let each user control what they hear about and how.
Types of notifications
Inspector Studio delivers notifications in two ways:
In-app notifications — appear in the notification bell inside Inspector Studio when you are logged in.
Push notifications — delivered to your mobile device if you have the Inspector Studio mobile app installed.
Email notifications for internal team events (as opposed to customer-facing automated messages via Conditionals) are also available depending on your configuration.
Managing your personal notification preferences
Click your name or avatar in the top navigation.
Select Account Settings or My Account.
Go to the Notifications section.
From here you can toggle notifications on or off for each event type.
Common notification events
New booking — someone creates a new booking in the system.
Booking assigned to me — you are assigned as the inspector on a booking.
Booking rescheduled — a booking's date or time changes.
Booking canceled — a booking is canceled.
New message — a customer or team member sends a message in a thread you are part of.
Report published — a report is published (useful for office staff who track delivery).
Agreement signed — a customer signs an agreement on a booking.
Payment received — a payment is recorded on an invoice.
Mobile push notifications
If you use the Inspector Studio mobile app, you can receive push notifications directly to your phone. Push notifications are especially useful for inspectors in the field who may not have the app open but want to know immediately if a booking changes or a customer sends a message.
To enable push notifications:
Download the Inspector Studio mobile app.
Log in with your account credentials.
Allow notifications when the app prompts you.
You can then manage which events generate push notifications from the same Notifications settings page.
Team-wide notification settings
Admins can see which notification events are available to the team but cannot force notification settings on individual users — each person controls their own preferences. If someone is missing important updates, ask them to check their notification preferences and make sure push notifications are enabled on their device.
