Managing services and add-ons
Services are the inspection types your company offers — things like a standard home inspection, a 4-Point inspection, or a Wind Mitigation inspection. Add-ons are optional extras that can be attached to a service, such as a radon test, sewer scope, or mold screening. Both are priced and tracked on the booking.
Adding a service to a booking
You can add services when creating a booking or after the booking exists.
During creation: Select services in Step 3 of the booking creation flow. The list shows all active services from your Settings → Services & Pricing configuration.
After creation:
Open the booking.
Scroll to the Services section.
Click Add Service.
Select the service from the list and confirm.
Each service shows its default price. You can adjust the price for this specific booking — for example, to apply a discount for a repeat customer — by clicking the price and editing it inline.
Adding add-ons
Add-ons appear under each service and can be selected when adding the service or afterward.
On the booking, find the service you want to add an on to.
Click Add Add-on under that service.
Select the add-on and confirm.
Add-ons each have their own price, which can also be adjusted inline on the booking.
Removing a service or add-on
To remove a service or add-on from a booking:
Find the item in the Services section.
Click the options menu (three-dot icon) next to it.
Select Remove.
Note: Removing a service from a booking does not delete any reports that were created for it. If you remove a service, check whether any associated report should also be removed.
Price overrides
The price shown for each service and add-on is the default from your settings. You can override it on any individual booking without affecting the base price in settings. To override, click the price field on the booking and type the new amount.
How services connect to reports
Some services have a report type associated with them (for example, a Wind Mitigation service links to a Wind Mitigation report form). When you add that service to a booking, Inspector Studio can create the matching report automatically. The connection is set up in Settings → Services & Pricing.
