Managing your personal account

Updated June 18, 2026

Your personal account settings control your individual experience in Inspector Studio — separate from your organization's settings. Here is what you can manage and where to find it.

Getting there

Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner and select Account Settings or My Profile.

What you can manage

Profile and contact info

Update your display name, profile photo, and contact email. Your name appears on reports you write and messages you send, so keep it accurate.

To change your email address, enter the new address and confirm via a verification email sent to it. Your email is also your login identifier.

Password

Click Change Password to update your login password. You will need to enter your current password to confirm the change.

If you have forgotten your password, log out and use the Forgot Password link on the login screen.

Date, time, and timezone preferences

Set your preferred date format, time format, and timezone. These settings affect how dates and times display for you throughout Inspector Studio. See Your personal account settings in the Getting Started section for details on the available options.

Notification preferences

Control which events send you in-app and push notifications. See Notification preferences for details.

Connected apps

If you have connected any third-party apps to your Inspector Studio account (for example, a calendar integration), you can view and disconnect them here.

Signing out

To sign out of Inspector Studio, click your avatar and select Sign Out. On shared devices, always sign out when you are done to protect your account.

Deactivating your account

You cannot deactivate your own account — this must be done by an admin. If you need to remove your access (for example, you are leaving the company), ask your organization's admin to deactivate your team member account.

Account vs. organization settings

Your personal account settings are just for you. Organization settings (business name, branding, services, team members) affect everyone in your organization and are only accessible to Admins and Managers. If you need to change something about the organization and do not see the option, you may not have the permissions for it — contact your admin.
