Inviting team members
Inspector Studio is built for teams. You can invite inspectors, office staff, and managers — each with their own login and their own set of permissions. Here is how to get your team set up.
Who can invite team members
Any user with an Admin or Manager role can send invitations. If you do not see the option below, contact your organization's admin.
Sending an invitation
Go to Settings → Team Members.
Click Invite Member.
Enter the person's email address and select their role (see below for a description of each role).
Click Send Invitation.
Inspector Studio will send an email to that address with a link to create their account. The link expires after 48 hours. If they miss it, you can resend the invitation from the same screen.
Roles
When you invite someone, you choose their default role. The role controls what they can see and do in the platform.
Admin — full access to all settings, data, and team management. Typically the business owner or office manager.
Manager — can manage bookings, contacts, and reports. Can view but not change billing or organization settings.
Staff — office support access. Can manage bookings and contacts but has limited access to financial data and settings.
Inspector — field access. Can view their assigned bookings and write reports. Cannot access other inspectors' bookings, contacts, or financial information.
Note: Roles are a starting point. Each role's permissions can be customized in Settings → Roles & Permissions. You can also grant or restrict specific permissions for individual users without changing their role.
Managing existing team members
From Settings → Team Members you can:
View all current members and their roles.
Edit a member's role or individual permission overrides.
Deactivate a member to remove their access without deleting their history. Deactivated users no longer appear on assignment lists but their past work is preserved.
Resend an invitation if someone hasn't accepted yet.
What team members see when they log in
New team members land on the dashboard. What they see depends on their role — inspectors see their upcoming assigned inspections, while admins and managers see a full view of all bookings and activity.
