Overview of Inspector Studio
Inspector Studio is an operations and CRM platform built specifically for home inspection businesses. It brings your bookings, reports, customer communication, invoicing, and team management into one place.
What you can do in Inspector Studio
Manage bookings end-to-end. Create inspection bookings, attach services and add-ons, assign inspectors, collect agreements, and track everything from a single record.
Write and publish inspection reports. The built-in report editor supports standard home inspection reports as well as specialty forms — 4-Point, Wind Mitigation, WDO, and Roof Certification. Reports publish directly to a customer-facing portal.
Communicate with customers. Send emails and SMS messages from inside the platform. Threads keep the full conversation history in one place. Automated messages (called Conditionals) can fire based on booking events so you never have to remember to follow up.
Invoice and collect payment. Generate invoices tied to a booking, record payments, and track balances — all without leaving the platform.
Manage your team. Invite inspectors and office staff, assign roles with specific permissions, and see who is scheduled for what on the built-in calendar.
Key concepts to know
Booking — the core record for an inspection job. It holds the customer, property, scheduled date, services, fees, agreements, and linked reports.
Contact — the person or company associated with a booking. A contact can have multiple bookings over time.
Report — the inspection report attached to a booking. A booking can have more than one report (for example, a home inspection report plus a Wind Mitigation form).
Template — the reusable structure that defines what sections, questions, and items appear in a report. Your reports are generated from templates.
Organization — your company account in Inspector Studio. All data is private to your organization.
