Mobile app overview

Updated June 18, 2026

Inspector Studio has a mobile app for iOS and Android. It is designed for inspectors in the field — giving you access to your bookings, the report editor, customer messaging, and your schedule from your phone or tablet.

What the mobile app does

  • View your schedule. See your upcoming assigned bookings for the day, week, or month.

  • Write reports. The full report editor is available on mobile. Take photos directly from the camera and they attach to the report in place. Answer questions, add deficiencies, and write narratives — everything available on desktop is available on mobile.

  • Capture and attach photos. Tap the camera icon anywhere in the report editor to take a photo and attach it immediately to that section or deficiency. Photos upload in the background while you keep working.

  • Send and receive messages. Read and reply to customer messages through Threads. Get push notifications when a customer replies so you know immediately.

  • View booking details. Access the property address, customer contact info, services ordered, and any notes or attachments on a booking.

What the mobile app does not do

The mobile app focuses on field work. Some administrative tasks are better suited to the desktop version:

  • Creating new bookings (use desktop or browser on mobile).

  • Managing templates.

  • Settings and billing.

  • Invoicing and payment collection.

Downloading the app

Search for Inspector Studio in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and install it. Log in with the same email and password you use on the desktop.

Push notifications

The mobile app can send push notifications so you are alerted about important events — a new booking assigned to you, a customer message, a booking change. When you first install the app, allow notifications when prompted.

You can adjust which events trigger push notifications in Account Settings → Notifications either in the app or on the desktop.

Staying logged in

The mobile app keeps you logged in between sessions. You do not need to enter your password every time you open the app. If you share a device with others, log out when you are done (Menu → Log Out).

Working without internet

Some parts of the mobile app work offline — you can view previously loaded booking details and continue editing a report you already opened. However, changes do not sync until you have an internet connection. For best results, start a report while connected so the template and existing content load completely before you go into an area with poor signal.
